Kudos to Knux, and to all those who have stood up for acceptance.

I learned a long time ago that our beliefs help us define how we react to the world around us: as long as they do so in a positive way, I eagerly support anyone who has found a set that works for them, and I could care a whit whether they match up with mine or not.

I understand the concern that if furres take their _actions_ too far out of line with societal norm, then they aggravate a delicate social balance and may bring added woes on their fellow furres: but I don't think that the fact of one person believing in a different way does that, only their overly public expression of it to the general populace.

We would not be here in this community if we weren't seeking acceptance for some aspect of our psyche that falls outside the societal norm: this is the main thing we share in common. As we receive (or wish to receive), so let us give?

For those who have been insulted, please be assured there are many more on this list who will sympathize with your pain than who will compound it. Please don't abandon a forum because of a few harsh comments?

If we stick together, we can increase tolerance and understanding not only in the outside community but the inside as well. Please accept the warmth of friendship that is extended in message after message you see from other members following.
