[LAFF] Looking for a fur I met at the LAFF New Year's Eve Party

Hi everyone! I hope that your new year has been going great so far!
Even though Sema Jayhawk didn't mention me as being part of the
list of furs who attended the LAFF New Year's eve party up at Gurnee last
week, I (Hoagiebot) indeed was there and have the conbadge and the hotel
room receipt to prove it! The New Year's Eve party was the first LAFF
sponsored event that I have ever attended, and I have to say that I had a
really good time! Meeting some other local furry artists was a neat
experience, and I ended up drawing a nice sketch of my own while I was
there. Perhaps when I finish penciling the details of the sketch I will
post it up to the list. While nearly every aspect of the outing was a
fantastic success, one thing that was really a bummer is that the hotel
staff sprung the nasty surprise on us that they were kicking us out of both
of our party rooms by 1AM. As far as I know that was in no way the LAFF
event organizers' fault because I have been told that the hotel allowed
them to use the rooms for longer last year, but that is probably an issue
that should be addressed. I don't know how much it costs per day to rent
those conference rooms, but I for one would be willing to pay a few more
bucks to attend the party if it meant that we could have the conference
rooms reserved past midnight so that we can party in the rooms as long as
we want. Once again I don't have any idea how feasible that would be for
the organizers to do-- I am just making a friendly suggestion.
While I was down in the party rooms I met this absolutely
fascinating fur that I would love to keep in contact with. Unfortunately,
I was suffering from a bit of a sinus infection on New Year's Eve and had
been taking cold medicine, so I have to admit that I wasn't in my sharpest
mental capacity that night. With that said, I have to embarrassingly admit
that I have forgotten the fur's name, and I was wondering if someone on
this list knows him and can pass his badge name and contact information
along to me so that I can write to him. He is a head engineer for four FM
radio stations down in the Champagne-Urbana area, has a Technician Class
amateur radio license, and wears a black wolf fursuit with a Hawaiian
lei. If anyone knows who this is, please contact me off-list and let me
know. I am an amateur radio operator as well, and would love to keep
talking with this guy because he gets to play with bigger and cooler pieces
of radio transmitter equipment than I could ever dream of having access to!
Thanks to all of the LAFF organizers for throwing such a wonderful
New Year's Eve party-- the food was great, the people were great, and I had
an absolutely wonderful time! I am looking forward to attending again next
year, and hopefully I will be able to attend more LAFF events before then!
Sincerely,
Dan "Hoagiebot" Keller
