[LAFF] The Allegory of the Ever-Flowing Sea (Flame Retardant)

Life is an ever-flowing sea, and it's a nice take on my views on religion,
spirituality, and society. This was originally written for a friend of
mine. He knows who he is. Though these thoughts are somewhat personal to
me, some friends of mine thought it would be good if I shared them with a
group. So, I'm going to share it with you guys. It starts after the
sentence after the next sentence. No, really, it's starting. I've coated
this post with a flame-retardant layer of protection, so that it may not be
flamed.

Religion:

There is a God, but He, or It rather, is not what many people believe It to
be. It has no physical form or shape. It is everywhere, It's a force, a
"lifestream". It is the circulation of what makes life possible. It gives
new life. It gives bodies to those who seek them.

Spirituality (they go hand-in-hand, really):

Spirits are everywhere and in everything. Everything living contains some
form of spirit. It's what holds life to a body. Most spirits are
thousands, maybe even millions of years old. They circulate through the
lifestream. What dies is reborn. Many spirits stay around the same area as
they lived in previous lives, and some travel. A spirit will always find a
new body, a new life, if it so chooses. However, it's not always the same
creature. As human population continues to grow, and animals continue to
decline (species going extinct, bloodsport, etc.), more and more humans are
born with animal spirits. I noticed there are a lot of furries who are
wolves. That makes perfect sense since there used to be a large amount of
wolves in this area before eastern settlers came in and killed them off,
especially gray wolves, since those that were once native to this area have
now become an endangered species.

Foxes have continued to die, especially around urban areas, but still try to
adapt to this new habitat, and learn to strive from their surroundings. And
what better way to adapt than to become the creature most adapt to this kind
of living: Man.

Yeah, this is probably just some fairy tale, as I did make it up, but all
religion is made-up. All religion is based on what people choose to believe
in.

General society:

I honestly believe that most people living today have some sort of animal
spirit. They've had to have been in an animal's body at least once. Most
"mundanes" I've gotten to know have some kind of connection or apathy toward
an animal. Sometimes, several animals! My ex-girlfriend, before she had
ever even heard about furry, was absolutely wild about pandas. She had
panda books and bags, and a room full of panda plushies, yet she didn't even
stop to think that maybe there's a reason for that. She's always liked the
name "Kelly", so after meeting me, she naturally became Kelly the Panda.
Furry is a way to express your "inner animal" in a healthy manner. I'm not
going to go around peeing on utility poles and trees, though I have in the
past, but you know what I mean. I'm not going to try to catch and eat a
live mouse. It's something that foxes do that the human body is not
conditioned for. Role playing, creating, writing, whatever. It's all an
outlet to express what we really are. Deep down, we're all animals; Every
person on the planet.

Tune in, next time, to hear about how I know that I'm a fox.....is that even
necessary?
