Sorry for the multiple entries, my laptop spaced out. You were looking for a "house" cat and most ( I know not all) cats do end up outside because of the spraying, eating, destruction, etc. It's like buying a parrot just because you want it to talk, odds are it isn't. The same is with the cats, odds are that it will not last in the house unless you and your family are very tolerant. If it ends up outside in a cage, then I would recommend two, I hate seeing them alone. Just food for thought before you make the big step.
Loretta

Thank you for your support Gary. I know that owning a wild feline is not to be taking lightly. All my avenues will be covered when I decide to get one.
Thanks,
Tina

Loretta,
I have interacted privately in emails with Tina. She has several hybrids already. She also has ourdoor enclosures. She is checking in on the laws in her area as well. I think Tina will make a great responsible. I had a jungle cat in the house for quite some time and he was great. But he was a breeder and did star sprying, so out he went. Since she has outdoor enclosures, I think we should support her in her quest.
I also know of many Servals that live indoors and do great. Its all in the training most of the time.

Neither make a great house companion and most are illegal in many states, I suggest into looking at hybrids if you are looking for something exotic. I am owned by an ocelot, siberian lynx, 2 bobcats, 2 servals, 1 bengal and 1 savannah, only the last two live in the house and the whole family and guests absolutely adores them-quite the characters! Our bengal insists on sleeping with any over guests and both cats go for walks with us outside-we live in the country.

I am looking into getting a small wild feline. Which of these cats would be the best house companion? Serval, Jungle Cat, or Asian Leopard. These are the breeds I have been studying about. Any input would be appreciated. I am just looking and researching for now.
Thanks,
Tina
