Jim,
    I understand your viewpoint, but do be aware that this situation can
be looked at from both directions. Properly managed hunting, especially
on well-run game ranches who do not practice 'canned hunting' so-called,
is a major hedge against poaching and extinction. The Government of
South Africa all but banned game ranch hunting of big cats last year.
The result of this is the physical and genetic deaths of some 5,000
lions, and about 2,000 people out of work from what I have heard.
