I have 3 Great Pyrenees, ....soon to be more one female is pregnant.... that patrol, but there are hundreds of acres for them to patrol. They keep coyotes out and have run the cougar off, but are not always around when needed. This is a WILD cougar that approached my captive cougar cages. The grand kids are not in any danger from the caged cats. The female cougars I am housing were rescues that some people from FCF encouraged me to take regardless of our financial situation, because they had no where else to go at the time...and one of the girls does not even belong to me...I have been housing her for someone else for well over 2 years now and it looks like she is not going anywhere. I previously had no need to put the girls through risky spay surgeries (from the anesthesia) because I do not have any captive males and no concern of accidental breeding.
Now there has been an urgent need come up, to spay the girls because they are attracting a wild male, and this is a danger to my grandchildren that live with me full time. I was simply asking for some help from the same group that wanted me to take the cougars in the first place, to get the captive girls spayed so they would stop attracting the wild male. I did not come to this group asking for any help!! But some people like to attack others over anything I guess. Mine was an example of how people don't care to Gloria. This was about Gloria's need for help not mine. Frankly I am not going to ask anyone here for anything .
Amy knows what is going on here other than the male coming in and she knows my place and has been here, she also has seen my cats and I do not breed, sell, or deal, mine are not bought there are tossed out by others. As far to many have been, and I have had to turn away many because I do not have room or funds to feed and care for more. I get attacked and accused by some people here that don't even know what they are talking about, I guess some people just like to tear others apart, maybe it makes them feel better.
As I said mine was an answer to Gloria's cry for help and the next thing I get shredded here, by a person who doesn't even know what he is talking about.

I think this problem could be solved very easily with the use of a couple of well trained, large dogs. In know the wild mountain lions in my area are terrified of big dogs.
