Touchthejungle.org has launched a newly designed website reflecting the new regional direction the Earthways project has taken. For the past ten years, Earthways has worked with the community of Playa de Oro in Ecuador to create and maintain their private land as a reserve known as the Playa de Oro Reserva de Tigrillos. The project has now expanded into the "Choco Rainforest Protection Project" to work with all the communities in the Choco region of NW Ecuador to conserve the forests, protect the wildlife, and preserve the culture. Efforts still include the Playa de Oro Reserve, but also other communities and other types of projects. New projects include a Wildlife Rescue Center, sustainable food projects, community tourism projects with several different communities, and a partnership with an Ecuadorian nonprofit group, Kumanii Foundation. And there will be more to come as we continue to grow and expand our efforts.

Don't miss the group tour scheduled for October to visit several of these projects--more details on the website

The new Kumanii Wildlife Rescue Center is currently being built, and we could use all the support you can give to help us finish construction and start assisting wildlife in the region on a large scale. We invite you to browse around the new website and learn about all our efforts in the Choco Rainforest region of Ecuador, and learn how you can help!
