[FEL-L] feline list

I would have been fine in an email but it looked odd also being posted to a public list.

It wouldn't be the first time someone has done this to get a comment across to a group, thus the question. I doubt anyone was "offended" so much as puzzled, although some did get hostile to the question it raised, one that needed an answer to prevent lingering suspicion and speculation about the motives of the poster.

The is no greater danger to this group than _assumptions_ about what a poster means or what his motivations are. It has torn this group to pieces over the years. When someone posts something to a group it is usually a statement they want others to see. The reason for that can be inferred or explained. Especially after a recent argument on that other group. Explained is better.

"Crazy" can mean many things. You can be horse crazy or animal activist crazy. One is harmless, one isn't.

  I thought it was just an email to me to check out this email list. i would consider it an insult if I were considered "normal" - i'd rather be crazy than insane. crazy implies just some of the time, insane requires your full attention.

        WHAT was the point of posting this ON the Felines list? If you are already here you hardly need the recommendation. If not, you won't see it. So why?

          you may want to watch the felines-l at catbox.com list they are about half as crazy as the phoenix exotic list and not run by people who keep ferrets and mink and boas but more by cats.
