 Leopard kills keeper
 
 Specialists are trying to uncover how it could come to the deadly assault of a leopard to a keeper. The animal had attacked the young woman saturday; help arrived too late.
 
 Chemnitz - "Animal park closed today" a note informed the visitors at the entrance of the zoo this weekend. A not locked in leopard had attacked and killed a keeper on saturday morning. Zoodirector Hermann Will found the 23 year old dead during a routine inspection short after 9 AM. The carnivoure, a persian leopard, had attacked her from behind. According to the police, she had "severe bitewounds at the neck and head"; it is assumed that she was immediately dead. 
 
 Noone did witness the attack, the police spokesman Jana Kindt said. The keeper was cleaning the cage alone, when the leopard assaulted her. The body of the keeper was found laying in a cage appartment between the inside
  and the outside enclousure. Both sliders between the enclosures were open. "At least one of them should´ve been closed", explained the spokesperson. Why the sliders were open is now under investigation.
 
 Lion attack already 2004
 
 In January 2004, a lion had attacked and severely injured a keeper at the Chemnitz zoo. The 33 years old keeper had missed that a slider was open. The lion "Sultan" had attacked her and severely injured. Other keepers were able to divert the lion and thus did prevent a more severe outcome. 
 
 Leopard not killed
 
 The killed keeper had finished her job training in the summer of 2005 in this zoo. Her duty had started at 7 AM this saturday, the cleaning of the enclosure was part of her daily routine. According to Kindt, it is common practice, that the keeper works alone in the carnivoure enclosure. Of the 2 leopards living in the enclosure, only one was locked out. The leopard, who had attacked the keeper, was not put down.

 A LEOPARD killed a zoo helper who was cleaning its cage in the city of 
 Chemnitz, eastern Germany yesterday. 
 The 23-year-old, who had been working at the zoo for over a year, was found 
 dead from a bite to the neck by the zoo director just after 9am. 
 A door between the stall and an outdoor cage for the Persian leopard had
