[FEL-L] Circus tiger bites trainer

Relax, we're just trying to figure out if there was some point to it we couldn't see. Sometimes only part of a post comes through.

Since Ringling no longer has big cat acts, even going so far as to scrap the rail cars they used to use for them, any story of an attack involving them should raise red flags.

When anyone forwards a news article to you personally you should know or ask WHY at the time. It should always be checked at the source before posting it.

It sounds like the person who forwarded it found it during a search. NYT pages always have today's date at the top BUT the article itself is dated and it takes a deliberate move to leave that date out when it is copied as it is below the headline.

We can't know that the poster just forwarded it, hence the questions.

The thing to think about is why someone sent you the piece. What was their purpose? You must know them and have some clue to their motivations. If not you should be luscious and check things out.

Some of us get things sent to them because people have seen us on the lists. If we don't know them we have to check the material before passing it along.

No problem here, just confusion.

Ray

  Hey, everybody, RELAX!

Someone sent me the article, and they obviously got it from someone who sent THEM the article. The date was current on the article that I received. No need to shoot the freakin' messenger!

I'll think twice about posting to this group again!
