FCF Director of Education, Carol Bohning is encouraged by the steady
interest in husbandry education and believes that pairing the class up with
tours of licensed facilities has greatly increased the learning impact on
students. Says Bohning, "The 2007 locations are both first rate and I look
forward to touring both zoos and learning from the keepers."

The Basic Wild Feline Husbandry Course has been taught in 18 states, but
this is a first for Washington and Maryland. The course has been offered
annually since 1997 in conjunction with the FCF Convention in July and this
year it will be offered in Dallas, Texas as well. The 8-hour course
provides a diverse range of information pertinent to wild feline keepers,
aspiring owners, veterinarians, animal control officers, wildlife personnel,
and managers.
