[FEL-L] RE: Ohio HB643 -established requirements and personal poss. permits

All those in Ohio with exotics, please write to your representatives, to  say 
no to this bill!
What it comes down to here, is the words  a veterinarian shall  euthanize !
If they don't issue a permit to you that's what's going to happen, we  can't 
allow this to pass !

I oppose the bill  that representative Distel is sponsoring concerning exotic 
 animals(HB643)exotic  animals(HB643)<WBR>. I have read the dr been 
introduced, and the bill would give the Division of  Wildlife regulatory authority over 
privately owned, non-native animals.  Ohio Revised Code clearly gives the 
Division of Wildlife statutory  authority only over  animals that are native to 
Ohio.
This isn't the first time that the Division of Wildlife has  attempted to 
seize control over the exotic animal industry. The  legislative committees that 
heard the bills agreed, and voted them  down in committee.
 If this bill goes to committee and hearings are held, I will  be present at 
the hearings to testify against it, and would appreciate  all the help you can 
give me, including encouraging your fellow  legislators not to co-sponsor 
this bill. I oppose a government agency  (Division of
Wildlife) seeking to expand their authority beyond what  Ohio Revised Code 
already gives them. This bill is a direct attack on  my private rights and I 
feel that there can be no  compromise.
