I would have been wary of such a photo, but I've met
Jan and I have been to her home.
Amazing woman and amazing set up! She is a "class act"
and "icon" of the exotic cat world..... she should be
everyone's mentor that loves exotic cats.
She invited me into her home (as a complete stranger)
about a year ago just from meeting her off of one of
these lists and I don't think I'll ever meet anyone
that can devote themselves more to the world of exotic
cats.
She is not out to exploit and might even be making
money if she were to exploit.
Her cats were in the best of care with squeeky clean
cages; the cages were to die for! She had just
installed a $20,000 huge walk-in zoo-type cage.... Her
cats are handled daily and she personally goes into
their cages regularly because they are kept very close
to her living quarters..
Her litter boxes are cleaner than my domestic cats'
litter boxes in my home...
She also gave me a hint that we all could use.... use
rabbit pellets for litter.... if the cat cleans its'
paws and licks off the litter, it's completely
digestable.
I don't think anyone on any of these exotic cat lists
will fill her shoes... her experience, her passion,
her knowledge from handling big cats and smaller
exotics..
